Marianne Abreu is an industrial designer with ten years of experience in digital and interactive media, also with a research in gestural/natural interfaces.
She was formerly a user experience designer for the Internet arm of Globo, the largest media conglomerate in Latin America that reaches millions of people every day.
At the age of 13, she created by herself the first website for the school where she was studying, an important breakthrough in the school’s story.
Marianne was a collaborator writer for Gizmodo Brazil, featured by HP Touch Smart. And was quoted several times in the Webdesign Magazine.
In 2010, she organized the first TEDx in Rio de Janeiro with Vik Muniz, Jaime Lerner, John Perry Barlow and others great minds as speakers.
In 2011, she was selected to be participant of “Autodesk Ideas: The innovation + Design Series” in San Francisco and an alumnus of the Graduate Studies Program at Singularity University, NASA Ames Research Park.

Passions/Interests:
- I am passionate about bridging the gap between people and high technologies through the discovery of anthropocentric points of view for new technological products.
- I love running, surfing, climbing, skydiving, and other sports that make me challenge myself.
